Melissa Baxter-Back By Popular Demand
I started working in consignment at the age of 15 for my first summer job. I never dreamed that 5 years later I would buy my own and begin the life-long adventure known as consignment. I can truly say that I love it more and more each year. I love the constant change and challenge that it give me and my staff and am so grateful that God gave me an opportunity to work in an industry that I didn't even know I would love. (he always knows what's best) In my spare time I do triathalons and read. God, family and my two min pins are what's important to me.

Bonnie Kallenberg-Finders Keepers
I purchased Finders Keepers from Reba Brown, the original owner, in 1990 after working part-time at the shop--so I knew what I was getting into...With a degree in marketing from GSU and an entrepreneurial spirit inherited from my dad, I developed a vision for the business that I work toward every day. My husband, Parke, is my biggest supporter--meaning "works tirelessly for free" and I have 2 children, Casey who runs one of my stores and Corey, who just graduated from college and has begun his career in network security engineering. When I'm not working or in a meeting I can be found running, in yoga class or on the dock at Lake Sinclair.

Nancy Scalera-B Chic Designer Consignment
I opened B Chic in 2007 after working 20 plus years in corporate marketing for a fortune 500 company. Growing up, I loved to shop for designer clothing in the garment district and warehouses of New York city, sample sales and of course consignment. I opened this shop because I enjoy helping women get cool clothing at great value. And I am excited to be part of this fun, growing business.

Jayna Thompson-Alexis Suitcase
Jayna Thompson grew up in Atlanta and from a very young age knew she wanted to own a shop, playing pretend shop owner with her friends "ringing them up" on her adding machine. She attended Georgia Tech and majored in business management. After college she went to work at her brother's e-commerce company learning the ins and outs of running a business. After working there for four years she was ready to take the leap into business ownership. With the help of her mom, she opened her first store in Sandy Springs in April 2005. Vicki Naso-Designer Consigner
I absolutely love the consignment industry, especially in women's apparel. I thrive on the fast pace and excitement of the business. It's thrilling to see all the new items come in every day. And the best part is being surrounded by amazing people - the customers, business contacts, consignors, and the awesome group of ladies I have the privilege to work with. Outside the shop, my passions are running, working out, North Point Community Church, live music, and my 2 treasures - Maddie and Zach

Jenny Eid-Southen Comforts
Collecting and bargain shopping has been a passion of mine for most of my life. It began with my grandmother who put me on the path of hunting treasures from an early age. My passion became something that I wanted to share with others, thus the opening of Southern Comforts Consignments in Dunwoody, Georgia in 2003. Our success in the Dunwoody location led to the opening of our second store in Alpharetta, Georgia in 2008, which is also thriving. Our stores are filled with beautiful items from our vast array of wonderful consignors: furniture – home accessories – antiques – jewelry. We receive new consignments seven days a week, so it’s a new store every time you shop! We hold our values of customer service, community and family as the foundation of our business. Our goal is that Southern Comforts is not just a store, but an experience. The Joy of Southern Comforts is the Treasure Hunt!

Terry & Betty Anderson-Fun Finds & Designs
My husband and I moved to Canton GA in 2005. As an interior designer for 25 years, I began to conceptualize an interior design business close to home. I had shopped consignment stores my entire career and thought it would be a great idea to bring upscale home décor consignment to the Canton area. The idea grew and grew and I recruited my husband Terry, a retired commercial contractor and businessman, to partner with me. That was the best decision I ever made. Together we opened Fun Finds and Designs in March 2009, and are thoroughly enjoying the ride. Consignment is more than a shop or the merchandise in it. It is the experience. It is the wonderful people you meet, the excitement of the ever changing environment, the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of finding that perfect piece at that perfect price.

Beth Moore-Resale Therapy
Several years ago I sent a card to a customer who was recovering from surgery. I wrote in the Asian motifed card,”Confucius say resale therapy better medicine than physical therapy.” When opening my store I knew that only one name encompassed the essence of the business I envisioned and so Resale Therapy came into being. With the assistance of a dear psychologist friend, we penned a Twelve Step Program for Resale Therapy, touting the emotional benefits of consigning and consignment shopping. While this therapeutic approach to the world of consignment is tongue in cheek, I believe there are great truths to the emotional benefits of this unique process. I try to find at least two nights a week to indulge my serious addiction to Team Trivia with friends at various Sandy Springs restaurants. Any other free time goes to my three dogs, Brio, JJ and The Dude.

Susan Jacobs-Meadows-Encore Boutique
My love of consignment started when I was a single parent with a small child (and no money!). I shopped regularly at my favorite consignment store, and learned to love beautiful clothing. When my budget grew, my shopping habits didn’t change, because I was hooked!! While working a few Saturdays a month at that same favorite store, my professional career continued to take interesting turns. I ran the marketing department for a large office furniture dealer for several years, did the same for an insurance managing general agency, and then did some consulting work in the financial/accounting area. Those positions, along with being in the military and managing health clubs, all taught me things that I have used since I acquired Encore Boutique in 2006. My passion for this business continues to grow – just like my shop, which just finished an expansion and total renovation. In the midst of that project, I also planned and executed a wedding – mine! When I have a precious few moments away from Encore, the lights of my life are my husband Michael, my son Adam, and my 3 wonderful dogs – Missy, K.D. & Zoe

Susan Walter-Unique Consignment Boutique
It all started about 15 years ago when my mom and I shopped a Roswell consignment store every week. Soon that store became my full time job! I worked at several other consignment stores in the Atlanta area throughout the years and once my first daughter was born, I decided to go into business for myself. Five years later, I now have two beautiful daughters and a fabulous business, thanks to my wonderful family and great staff!

Anita-Upscale Fashions Inc
I opened Upscale Fashions Inc in 1997 and the 12 years that I have been in business on the Southside of Atlanta have been a real joy. When my husband retired from the U.S. Army and we decided to settle down here in Jonesboro, GA, I channeled my entrepreneurial skills into the consignment world and bought my shop here in Stockbridge, GA. Owning my shop has graced me with both personal and professional growth. My customer base has put me in touch with a diversity of folks which I now consider my friends and which compliments my German upbringing beautifully. The flexibility that owning a shop gives me allows me the precious time I am able to spend time with my lovely daughter and my two wonderful grandchildren.

Trudy Morse- Emily's Closet
My excellent adventure began on December 1, 2008, when I purchased Emily’s Closet from Laurie Head, the original owner. Thanks, Laurie! I love the daily interaction with my delightful customers and their children, and the ever-changing scenery inside the shop as items come and go. I get absolutely giddy over some of the cute things our consignors bring in. My husband Jeff is my behind-the-scenes support, always ready to help when I need him. I couldn’t do this without him. Our toy poodles, Ganache and Noah, welcome me home each evening. Golf, gardening, reading and canasta are favorite hobbies.

Martha - The Closet Exchange
I’ve always loved consignment shopping but I had no idea that I would have my own shop. I had a long career in public service but was ready for a change. Several things happened in my life and the chance to open Closet Exchange came together. I opened on Jan.21 2009. Changing your life is easy you just need to believe that you can learn to do anything and you will find resources, people, ability and passion you never knew you had. Building this business has been a great adventure, all the residuals are great. I get to spend more time with family (because they are here working), I’m able to keep in touch with my friends (because they are here supporting me) and I meet new friends every day. I can’t wait to meet you

Lana Tolbert - My My's Closet
I have always loved to shop Consignment and sell my daughter’s clothing and shoes at consignment stores and sales. For many years I have told my husband that owning a Children’s Consignment Boutique was a dream I have always had. After leaving Corporate America, my dream has come true! Here we are, I have opened the doors to MyMy’s Closet. What better name than to name it after my 9 year old Special Needs daughter whose name is Myla. MyMy is her nickname and since she is the reason I started loving consignment, it was the perfect name. When I’m not at the Boutique I’m enjoying time with my wonderful husband Patrick, my two beautiful children, Myla AKA MyMy and Maxwell (Max).

Nina Sonsini
I have loved bargain shopping my whole life. The thrill of the hunt paired with the desire to own quality clothes and accessories on a budget is an addicting combo. Because of this, I am passionate about consignment. The corporate environment was not satisfying my creative side so in June 2010, I established Then Again Consignments. My only regret is not doing it sooner! I believe that fashion is what you make it – individuality is KEY! The unique variety of consignment store finds allows women to express themselves and enhance their own personal style. To me, this is what it’s all about. My husband, Steve and I live in Smyrna with our dog, Brody – (and his crazy cats).
